NEW YORK – Recent changes in healthcare, including lower Medicare reimbursements that went into effect in January as a result of the Protecting Access to Medicare Act, are continuing to pressure hospitals to seek new models for more cost-effective management of their laboratories, consultants and lab industry executives said.
