Sonny Varadan, MBA, Project Management Professional (PMP) is an accomplished information services executive with a passion for innovation and agility. He is a highly creative, organized and analytical consultant with proven capabilities in IT led laboratory strategy. Key skills include strategic planning, organizational design, operations, performance audits and project management.
Mr. Varadan possesses a strong software design and development background in healthcare infrastructure and financial applications environments. He has held senior IT positions including Chief Information Officer at both Providence Health Care and PAML, which is the largest network of outreach clinical laboratories in the United States.
At Providence, he was responsible for a $17 million budget and operations staff of 75+ team members where he implemented an operational improvement plan which resulted in significant laboratory cost reduction with service level improvements. At PAML he was instrumental in transforming the IT department from a cost center to a revenue center by developing innovative software solutions and implementing approximately 450+ interfaces on an annual basis.
Mr. Varadan is a certified project manager expert in PMBOK, Microsoft Framework, Prince 2 PM methodology and EPM. Viewed as an industry leader in strategic IT development, he has broad based experience with development environments, operating systems, networking, databases and programming languages.
He resides in Washington State with his family.
